Govind Shetty vs Kiki Montes

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 28/02/2043 from New Delhi, India:

The New Delhi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Govind Shetty (54 - 3) who hails from New Delhi, India and Kiki Montes(1 - 12(1)) from Curitiba, Brazil.  

Round 1: 

Shetty lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.

Shetty tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Montes gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Shetty on the ropes.  Montes sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Montes throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Shetty's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Montes gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Montes pivots to the left of his opponent, but Shetty lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents body.  
Shetty attempts to land a jab, but Montes dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Shetty feints a cross, fooling Montes into throwing a right hook counter.  Shetty avoids the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Shetty steps away from his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Shetty steps to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Shetty connects with a firm right hook.  
Montes sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Shetty lands a jab to the body followed by a right hook to the head.
