Rex Inglis vs Elliot Matherson

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/03/2043 from Las Vegas, USA:

The Las Vegas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rex Inglis (16 - 5) who hails from North Las Vegas, USA and Elliot Matherson(0 - 1) from Honolulu, USA.  

Round 1: 

Inglis lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Matherson tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Matherson walks Inglis down, trapping him on the ropes.  Matherson pivots from in front of his opponent, but Inglis lands a left hook to the head, a jab to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Matherson gets on the inside.  Inglis lands a firm left hook.  
Inglis is on target with a stinging cross.  
Inglis finds the target with a jab.  
Matherson gets on the inside.  Inglis hits home with a solid right hook.  
Inglis lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Inglis's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Inglis is on target with a left uppercut.  
Inglis tries to keep the action at long range.  Matherson connects with a cross.  
Inglis tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand left.  
Matherson walks Inglis onto the ropes.  Matherson tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Matherson is looking to close the distance.  Matherson attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Inglis's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Inglis steps to the outside.  Inglis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Matherson cuts off the ring, trapping Inglis on the ropes.  Matherson sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Inglis is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Inglis feints a left, and then is on target with a sharp overhand right.  
Inglis drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Matherson tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Matherson gets on the inside.  Matherson pivots to the left of his opponent.  Matherson attempts to land a right hook, but Inglis slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Matherson gets on the inside and manages to force Inglis into the corner.  Matherson throws a right hook, but Inglis clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Inglis pushes his forearm into Matherson's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Inglis.  
Inglis lands a solid right hook.  
Inglis is looking to keep his distance.  Matherson throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Inglis switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Inglis is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Matherson connects with a cross.  
Inglis lands with a solid jab.  
Inglis is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Inglis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.
