John Sten vs Sid Skirvin

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/04/2043 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are John Sten (18 - 4) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Sid Skirvin(1 - 11) from New York City, USA.  

Round 1: 

Sten lands with a sharp jab.  
Skirvin connects with a right hook.  
Sten steps inside and lands a right uppercut.  
Sten closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Sten manouvers Skirvin onto the ropes.  Sten pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Skirvin sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Sten hits home with a right hook.  
Sten is on target with a right hook.  
Sten finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Skirvin steps inside.  Sten digs in a stinging right hook to Skirvin's ribs.  
Skirvin advances into close range.  Sten lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Sten lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Sten attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Skirvin time to recover.  
Skirvin pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sten connects with a sharp right hook.  
Sten steps inside.  Sten sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Sten closes the distance.  Skirvin digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Skirvin throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Skirvin's liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sten's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Skirvin steps inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Skirvin lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Sten is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands with a hard jab.  
Sten connects with an overhand left.  
Sten lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sten feints a left hook, and then hits home with a cross.  
Sten tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a cross.  
Sten is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Skirvin lands a cross.  
Sten lands a jab.  
Sten lands with a hard jab.  
Sten lands with a hard jab.  
Sten lands a jab, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Skirvin manages to force Sten into a corner.  Skirvin throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Sten's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Sten is looking to keep his distance.  Skirvin attempts to land a jab, but Sten blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.
