Diego Mondragon vs Franco Apostol

Boxing Daily Report from the Puerto Rico National Finals 2043,  taking place on 17/04/2043 from Carolina, Puerto Rico:

The Carolina venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Mondragon (11 - 15) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Franco Apostol(49(15) - 27) from Ponce, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Mondragon lands a hard jab.  
Apostol gets on the inside and drives a firm left uppercut into Mondragon's body.  Apostol holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Apostol pushes his forearm into Mondragon's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Apostol to stop fouling.  
Mondragon switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Mondragon steps to the outside.  Apostol lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Apostol closes the distance and slams a hurtful right uppercut into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MONDRAGON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Apostol clinches his opponent.  Apostol tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mondragon behind the head. The referee warns Apostol and breaks the clinch.  
Apostol stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Apostol lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS MONDRAGON TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Mondragon is looking to keep his distance.  Apostol lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND MONDRAGON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Mondragon now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Mondragon is on target with a firm overhand left.  
Apostol closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  Apostol holds on to his opponent.  Apostol hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Mondragon pushes his forearm into Apostol's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Apostol forces Mondragon to back into the corner.  Apostol lands two right hook's to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Mondragon throws a right uppercut, but Apostol clinches his opponent.  Apostol leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Apostol tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mondragon behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Apostol.  
Apostol lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Apostol clinches his opponent.  Apostol leans on his opponent using all his weight. Apostol hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Apostol about fouling.  
Apostol is on target with a SAVAGE right hook.  MONDRAGON IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  
Apostol DETONATES a VICIOUS right hook on his opponents face.  DOWN GOES MONDRAGON!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT MONDRAGON IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Apostol!
