Paul Lindsay vs Dylan Espy

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/04/2043 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Paul Lindsay (60(6) - 15) who hails from Jacksonville, USA and Dylan Espy(0 - 2(1)) from Philadelphia, USA.  

Round 1: 

Lindsay advances into close range.  Espy hits home with a left hook.  
Lindsay steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  Lindsay ties up his opponent.  Lindsay pushes his forearm into Espy's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Espy quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.  
Espy sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Lindsay lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Espy is looking to keep his distance.  Lindsay connects with an overhand right.  
Lindsay advances into close range and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Lindsay gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Espy is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Lindsay is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Espy throws a right uppercut, but Lindsay ties up his opponent.  Lindsay is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Lindsay and breaks the clinch.  
Lindsay gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Lindsay holds on to his opponent.  Lindsay leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Lindsay's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lindsay lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lindsay is looking to close the distance and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Lindsay ties up his opponent.  Lindsay leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lindsay forces Espy to retreat into a corner.  Lindsay lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Lindsay lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Espy now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Lindsay pivots to the right of his opponent.  Espy is on target with a left hook to Lindsay's body.  Lindsay ties up his opponent.  Lindsay leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lindsay lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lindsay connects with a left hook.

Round 2: 

Lindsay sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Espy connects with a right hook.  
Lindsay is on target with a stinging right hook to Espy's body.  Lindsay ties up his opponent.  Lindsay leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Espy is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Espy.  
Lindsay pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Lindsay hits home with a left uppercut.  
Lindsay gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Espy tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lindsay advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  
Lindsay manouvers Espy into a corner.  Lindsay drives a firm left hook into Espy's body.  
Lindsay lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND ESPY IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Espy recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Espy throws a left hook, but Lindsay clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Espy pushes his forearm into Lindsay's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Espy.  
Lindsay is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Lindsay lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Espy almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Lindsay hits home with a right hook.  
Lindsay sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Espy's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Lindsay lands a right hook.  
Lindsay sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Lindsay throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Lindsay clinches his opponent.  Espy throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lindsay to stop holding.  
Lindsay lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Lindsay lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lindsay forces Espy to retreat into a corner.  Lindsay lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Lindsay quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Lindsay DETONATES a hurtful right hook on his opponents face.  ESPY IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Lindsay!
