Patrick Parry vs Billy Melrose

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 02/06/2043 from Leeds, UK:

The Leeds venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Patrick Parry (9 - 1) who hails from Blackpool, UK and Billy Melrose(2 - 9(2)) from Des Moines, USA.  

Round 1: 

Parry closes the distance.  Melrose attempts to land a right hook, but Parry blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Parry advances into close range.  Parry sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Melrose is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Parry manages to force Melrose into the corner.  Parry digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Parry drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Parry lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Parry is looking to close the distance.  Melrose pivots from in front of his opponent.  Melrose throws a right hook, but Parry clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Melrose attempts to land a left hook, but Parry sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Parry lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Parry holds on to his opponent.  Parry pushes his forearm into Melrose's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
