Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/06/2043 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are John Sheenan (73(6) - 14) who hails from Saint Paul, USA and Billy Melrose(2 - 10(2)) from Des Moines, USA.  

Round 1: 

Sheenan steps inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Sheenan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Sheenan holds on to his opponent.  Sheenan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sheenan about fouling.  
Sheenan closes the distance.  Melrose throws a right hook, but Sheenan clinches his opponent.  Sheenan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sheenan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sheenan lands a right hook.  Sheenan clinches his opponent.  Sheenan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Melrose behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sheenan digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  
Sheenan gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sheenan is looking to close the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sheenan is on target with a right hook.  
Melrose sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Sheenan connects with a left hook.

Sheenan is looking to close the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Sheenan lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Sheenan is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Sheenan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sheenan lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Melrose pivots to the left of his opponent, but Sheenan digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Melrose sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sheenan steps inside and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Melrose sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Melrose steps to the outside.  Sheenan lands a stinging cross.  
Sheenan finds the target with a solid jab.  
Sheenan advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Melrose recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Melrose finds the target with a jab.  Melrose attempts to land a cross, but Sheenan sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.

Sheenan steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Sheenan clinches his opponent.  Sheenan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sheenan manouvers Melrose onto the ropes.  Sheenan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Melrose sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to Sheenan's body.  
Sheenan is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Sheenan drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Sheenan lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Melrose digs in a solid right hook to Sheenan's body.  
Sheenan lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Sheenan forces Melrose to back into a corner.  Sheenan lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Sheenan digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sheenan lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sheenan drives a firm left hook into Melrose's liver.  Sheenan throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Melrose throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Sheenan time to recover.  
Sheenan pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Sheenan gets on the inside.  Sheenan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sheenan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Sheenan walks Melrose down, trapping him on the ropes.  Sheenan stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Sheenan lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head, DROPPING MELROSE TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Sheenan!
