Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/06/2043 from Cleveland, USA:

The Cleveland venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are David Butler (26(2) - 24) who hails from Columbus, USA and John Smyth(1 - 9(1)) from Reno, USA.  

Round 1: 

Smyth lands a jab.

Butler lands two straights to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Butler is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Smyth tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Butler connects with a cross.  
Smyth pivots to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Butler advances into close range.  Smyth connects with a right hook.  
Butler lands a jab.  
Butler is looking to keep his distance.  Smyth attempts to land a jab, but Butler parries the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.

Smyth walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Smyth sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Butler tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Smyth quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Butler lands with a sharp jab.  
Butler tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a sharp overhand left.  
Butler connects with a cross.
