Clint Edwards vs Eloy Mariano

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 31/07/2043 from Las Vegas, USA:

The Las Vegas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Clint Edwards (70(14) - 15) who hails from North Las Vegas, USA and Eloy Mariano(1 - 0) from Hialeah, USA.  

Round 1: 

Edwards advances into close range and is on target with a firm left hook.  Edwards clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Edwards pushes his forearm into Mariano's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Edwards lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Edwards throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Edwards holds on to his opponent.  Mariano hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mariano about fouling.  
Edwards pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Edwards is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to Mariano's body.  
Edwards advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Mariano digs in a right uppercut to Edwards's ribcage.  Edwards ties up his opponent.  Edwards pushes his forearm into Mariano's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Edwards lands two right uppercut's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Edwards steps inside and connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Mariano throws a right hook, but Edwards ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Edwards pushes his forearm into Mariano's face.  The referee warns Edwards and breaks the clinch.  
Edwards manouvers Mariano onto the ropes.  Edwards sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Mariano hits home with a right hook.  
Edwards lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Mariano sidesteps to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Mariano throws a right hook, but Edwards holds on to his opponent.  Edwards leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Edwards lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Mariano throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Edwards lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Edwards is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  Edwards holds on to his opponent.  Edwards is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Edwards lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Edwards finds the target with a jab.  
Edwards advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to Mariano's liver.  
Mariano is looking to keep his distance.  Edwards lands with a solid jab.  
Edwards lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Edwards lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND MARIANO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Edwards clinches his opponent.  Edwards is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Edwards thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Mariano away.  Edwards lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, KNOCKING MARIANO DOWN!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Edwards!
