Jesus Santiago vs Ximen Mendivil

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 26/10/2043 from Havana, Cuba:

The Havana venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jesus Santiago (30 - 5) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Ximen Mendivil(2 - 6(1)) from Reynosa, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Santiago lands with a sharp jab.  
Mendivil steps inside and manouvers Santiago onto the ropes.  Santiago throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot.  Santiago ties up his opponent.  Mendivil leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Santiago quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mendivil throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

Mendivil steps inside and is on target with a solid right hook to Santiago's ribs.
