Boxing Daily Report from the Americas Boxing Championships 2044,  taking place on 12/01/2044 from Córdoba, Argentina:

The Córdoba venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Carlos Sigala (47 - 21(2)) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Franco Apostol(60(20) - 28) from Ponce, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1:

Apostol lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Sigala recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Apostol gets on the inside and digs in a sharp left uppercut to Sigala's liver.  Apostol clinches his opponent.  Apostol is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Apostol about fouling.  
Sigala switches the action to the outside.  Apostol is on target with a cross.  
Apostol is looking to close the distance.  Sigala tries to land a left hook, but Apostol slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Apostol gets on the inside and walks Sigala down, trapping him in the red corner.  Apostol digs in a weighty right hook to Sigala's body.  SIGALA IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Apostol holds on to his opponent.  Sigala pushes his forearm into Apostol's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sigala to stop fouling.

Sigala is looking to keep his distance.  Sigala feints a right hook, and then lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Apostol steps inside.  Sigala tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Apostol is looking to close the distance.  Sigala throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Apostol closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Apostol pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a nasty right hook.  SIGALA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT SIGALA IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Apostol!
