Chris Backlund vs Ethan Adduce

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 07/02/2044 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Chris Backlund (70(8) - 9) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Ethan Adduce(1 - 3(1)) from Philadelphia, USA.  

Round 1: 

Adduce hits home with a right hook.  Backlund holds on to his opponent.  Adduce leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Backlund forces Adduce to back into the red corner.  Backlund digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Adduce throws a right hook, but Backlund holds on to his opponent.  Backlund pushes his forearm into Adduce's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Backlund about fouling.

Backlund steps inside and drives a solid left hook into Adduce's ribs.

Adduce switches the action to the outside.  Backlund hits home with a cross.  
Backlund steps inside and tries to land a right hook, but Adduce sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Backlund cuts off the ring, trapping Adduce on the ropes.  Backlund is on target with a right hook to Adduce's ribcage.  
Backlund sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Backlund digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  Backlund clinches his opponent.  Adduce uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Backlund's kidney.

Adduce throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Backlund steps inside and lands two left uppercut's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Backlund advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND ADDUCE IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  Backlund ties up his opponent.  Backlund leans on his opponent using all his weight. Backlund throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Backlund to stop holding.  
Adduce now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Backlund is on target with a telling right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  ADDUCE IS HURT!  
Backlund gets on the inside.  Backlund senses Adduce is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Backlund lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES ADDUCE!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Backlund!
