Ivan Pita vs Juan Yepes

Boxing Daily Report from the Colombia National Finals 2044,  taking place on 14/03/2044 from Buenaventura, Colombia:

The Buenaventura venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ivan Pita (40(2) - 8) who hails from Bello, Colombia and Juan Yepes(25 - 10) from Soledad, Colombia.  

Round 1: 

Pita closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Yepes steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Pita lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Pita walks Yepes onto the ropes.  Pita is on target with a left hook to Yepes's body.  
Yepes digs in a solid left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Pita drives a solid right uppercut into Yepes's ribs.  
Yepes sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Yepes throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pita lands with a stiff jab.  
Yepes lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Yepes lands with a stinging jab.  
Pita is looking to close the distance and DETONATES a WICKED right hook on his opponents face.  YEPES IS HURT!  Yepes almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Pita lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Yepes throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Pita gets on the inside.  Pita sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Yepes pivots to the left of his opponent, but Pita hits home with a left uppercut.  
Pita lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Yepes quickly recovers. 
Pita lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Yepes manages to force Pita onto the ropes.  Yepes finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Pita is looking to close the distance and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Pita advances into close range.  Yepes lands a firm left uppercut.  
Pita lands a stinging cross.

Pita steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Pita sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Pita lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Pita ties up his opponent.  Pita uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Yepes's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pita lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Pita lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Pita lands a left hook followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Pita steps inside.  Pita sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pita lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Pita clinches his opponent.  Pita leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Pita is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pita about fouling.  
Pita lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Pita lands a left hook to the body followed by two left uppercut's to the head, DROPPING YEPES TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Yepes now seems to have got his legs back.  
Pita walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Yepes attempts to land a left hook, but Pita sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Yepes is on target with a left hook to Pita's body.  
Pita lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Pita feints a cross, but Yepes ignores the feint and is on target with a cross.  
Pita is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Pita lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Pita tries to keep the action at long range.  Yepes drives a sharp jab into his opponents face.  
Pita drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Pita attempts to land a jab, but Yepes sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Pita quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Yepes throws a right hook, but Pita holds on to his opponent.  Yepes is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Yepes is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Yepes sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Pita lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Pita lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Pita clinches his opponent.  Pita leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pita lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, KNOCKING YEPES DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Pita!
