Zafa Abboud vs Ye Giam

Boxing Daily Report from the Iran National Finals 2044,  taking place on 26/03/2044 from Tehran, Iran:

The Tehran venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Zafa Abboud (3 - 6) who hails from Isfahan, Iran and Ye Giam(36(4) - 25(1)) from Tehran, Iran.  

Round 1: 

Giam lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a jab to the head.  
Giam advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Abboud goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Giam time to recover.

Abboud attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Giam time to recover.  
Giam lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Giam is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Giam quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Giam hits home with a firm right hook.  Giam holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Giam pushes his forearm into Abboud's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Giam.

Giam drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  Giam clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Giam closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND DROPS ABBOUD!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Giam throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Giam holds on to his opponent.  Giam is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Abboud pushes his forearm into Giam's face.  The ref breaks Giam's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Abboud digs in a stinging left hook to Giam's ribs.

Giam is on target with a stinging right uppercut to Abboud's body.  
Giam walks Abboud into the blue corner.  Giam lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Abboud feints a cross, and then lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Abboud tries to keep the action at long range.  Giam lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Abboud lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Giam closes the distance and forces Abboud to back into the ropes.  Giam throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.

Abboud sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Giam attempts to land a jab, but Abboud dodges the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Giam pivots from in front of his opponent, but Abboud finds the target with a jab.  
Giam advances into close range and is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  Giam tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Abboud is looking to keep his distance and hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Giam closes the distance and lands a solid left hook.

ABBOUD HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Giam!
