Michael Inglish vs James Caine

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 21/05/2044 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Michael Inglish (59 - 13) who hails from Fort Lauderdale, USA and James Caine(0 - 3(1)) from Kansas City, USA.  

Round 1: 

Caine attempts to land a left hook, but Inglish sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut to Caine's ribs.  
Inglish forces Caine to retreat into the corner.  Inglish lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Inglish ties up his opponent.  Caine is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Inglish pushes his forearm into Caine's face.  The ref breaks Inglish's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Caine throws a right uppercut, but Inglish clinches his opponent.  Inglish pushes his forearm into Caine's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Inglish about fouling.  
Caine is on target with a cross.  
Caine lands a right hook.  
Inglish advances into close range and hits home with a sharp left hook.  Inglish ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Caine pushes his forearm into Inglish's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Inglish is on target with a left hook.  
Caine finds the target with a jab.  
Inglish lands a jab.  
Inglish lands with a ramrod jab.  
Caine sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Inglish is on target with a jab.  
Inglish is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Inglish is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Inglish hits home with a left hook.  Inglish throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

Inglish stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Inglish drives a telling left hook into his opponents ribs.  CAINE IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Caine now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Inglish lands a right hook.  Inglish ties up his opponent.  Inglish leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Caine sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Inglish is on target with a stinging cross.  
Inglish lands a solid right hook.  
Inglish gets on the inside.  Inglish quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Caine lands a cross.  
Inglish advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Caine pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Inglish gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Caine finds the target with a jab.  
Inglish is looking to close the distance.  Inglish pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Inglish lands a left hook.  
Inglish lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Caine lands a cross to Inglish's body.  
Inglish closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Inglish throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Inglish clinches his opponent.  Inglish leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Inglish's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

The right shot from Inglish could be enough to force the stoppage!  Inglish lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, DROPPING CAINE TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  
Inglish hits home with a right hook.  
Some sustained pressure from Inglish could be enough to finish Caine!  Inglish lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS CAINE DOWN!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Inglish!
