Wayne McCourt vs Yasin Minhas

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 01/06/2044 from Leeds, UK:

The Leeds venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Wayne McCourt (54 - 3) who hails from Bolton, UK and Yasin Minhas(2 - 6(2)) from Mashhad, Iran.  

Round 1: 

McCourt gets on the inside.  Minhas throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Minhas throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
McCourt pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
McCourt lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
McCourt forces Minhas to retreat onto the ropes.  McCourt tries to land a right uppercut, but Minhas dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
McCourt lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
McCourt hits home with a left hook.  
McCourt lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
McCourt is on target with a right uppercut.  
Minhas connects with a stinging cross.

McCourt forces Minhas to retreat into the corner.  McCourt lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McCourt drives a sharp left uppercut into Minhas's ribs.

Minhas steps to the outside.  McCourt lands an overhand left, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
McCourt steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  McCourt holds on to his opponent.  McCourt pushes his forearm into Minhas's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns McCourt to stop fouling.  
McCourt steps inside and connects with a solid right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McCourt's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

McCourt closes the distance.  McCourt pivots to the right of his opponent.  McCourt lands a right hook.  McCourt ties up his opponent.  McCourt is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

McCourt is on target with a right uppercut.  
McCourt pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McCourt advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Minhas in the corner.  McCourt drives a right hook into Minhas's body.

Minhas throws a left hook, but McCourt ties up his opponent.  McCourt is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Minhas throws a left hook, but McCourt clinches his opponent.  McCourt tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Minhas behind the head. The ref breaks McCourt's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McCourt lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Minhas throws a left uppercut, but McCourt clinches his opponent.  Minhas pushes his forearm into McCourt's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Minhas about fouling.
