Dimos Godino vs Mel Kipkirui

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 23/08/2044 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dimos Godino (77 - 13) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Mel Kipkirui(1 - 3) from Kisumu, Kenya.  

Round 1: 

Kipkirui steps inside and lands a left hook.  Godino ties up his opponent.  Kipkirui throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Godino is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.

Godino steps to the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Kipkirui closes the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Godino dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kipkirui walks Godino onto the ropes.  Godino lands a spiteful jab.  
Kipkirui is looking to close the distance.  Godino lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.
