Fanuco Coro vs Rico Barba

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 02/09/2044 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Fanuco Coro (71(15) - 14) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Rico Barba(0 - 1) from Malolos, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Coro digs in a left hook to Barba's body.  
Coro manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Coro hits home with a solid left hook.  Coro holds on to his opponent.  Coro uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Barba behind the head. 
Coro digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Coro steps inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Coro walks his opponent into the corner.  Coro lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Coro clinches his opponent.  Coro leans on his opponent using all his weight. Barba is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Coro is on target with a right uppercut to Barba's body.  Coro ties up his opponent.  Coro throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Coro is on target with a firm left uppercut to Barba's body.  
Coro whips in a hurtful right hook to his opponents ribcage.  BARBA IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Coro lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Coro slams a spiteful left hook into his opponents ribs.  BARBA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Barba recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Barba pivots to the side of his opponent, but Coro lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Coro steps inside and drives a stinging left hook into Barba's body.  
Coro tries to land a left uppercut, but Barba blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Barba pivots to the right of his opponent, but Coro is on target with a jab.  
Coro is on target with a left hook.  
Coro is looking to close the distance.  Coro sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Barba lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Coro lands a firm left hook.  
Coro quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Coro is on target with a firm left hook to Barba's body.

Coro gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Coro lands a sharp left hook.  
Barba tries to step out of his opponents range.  Coro connects with a solid cross.  
Coro throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Barba time to recover.  
Coro gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Barba almost instantly recovers. 
Coro sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a forceful left hook to Barba's body.  BARBA IS HURT!  Barba recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Coro cuts off the ring, trapping Barba on the ropes.  Barba throws a right hook, but Coro holds on to his opponent.  Barba leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Coro is on target with a right hook.  
Coro lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Barba attempts to land a left hook, but Coro dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Coro lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Coro ties up his opponent.  Barba leans on his opponent using all his weight. Coro is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  Barba recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Coro lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Barba tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Barba throws a left hook, but Coro holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Barba pushes his forearm into Coro's face.  The referee warns Barba and breaks the clinch.  
Coro lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Coro ties up his opponent.  Coro leans on his opponent using all his weight. Coro hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Barba almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Coro is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Coro lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND SENDS BARBA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  
Coro finds the target with a jab.  
Coro is looking to close the distance.  Barba throws a left uppercut, but Coro ties up his opponent.  Coro leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Coro to stop holding.  
Coro slams a hurtful left hook into Barba's body.  BARBA IS HURT!  Barba quickly recovers. 
Coro forces Barba to retreat onto the ropes.  Coro lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Coro lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head, DROPPING BARBA TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Coro!
