Barry Swavely vs Tariq Abdo

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/11/2044 from Montreal, Canada:

The Montreal venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Barry Swavely (12(3) - 1) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Tariq Abdo(0 - 1) from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.  

Round 1: 

Swavely gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Swavely ties up his opponent.  Abdo pushes his forearm into Swavely's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Abdo about fouling.

Swavely lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Swavely throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Swavely quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Abdo is on target with a solid right uppercut.

Abdo advances into close range.  Swavely lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Swavely is on target with a right hook to Abdo's ribcage.  
Abdo sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Swavely digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Abdo feints a left, and then tries to land a jab, but Swavely blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Abdo gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Swavely holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Swavely pushes his forearm into Abdo's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Swavely to stop fouling.  
Abdo tries to land a jab, but Swavely sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Swavely advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Swavely lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Abdo could be stopped here, if Swavely can find the right shot!  Swavely lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND KNOCKS ABDO DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Swavely digs in a weighty right uppercut to Abdo's ribs.  ABDO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Abdo has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Swavely pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a sharp left hook.

Abdo attempts to land a left hook, but Swavely sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Abdo's body.

Swavely steps inside.  Abdo lands a right hook.  Swavely ties up his opponent.  Swavely leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Swavely is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Swavely.
