Ryo Briseno vs Salvador Basto

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/11/2044 from Havana, Cuba:

The Havana venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ryo Briseno (50(1) - 11) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Salvador Basto(8 - 12(2)) from Brasilia, Brazil.  

Round 1: 

Briseno closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Briseno advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Briseno drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Briseno sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Briseno gets on the inside and lands a solid left hook.  
Briseno gets on the inside and connects with a right uppercut.  
Briseno lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Basto feints a left, and then throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.

Basto is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Briseno dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Briseno closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Briseno steps inside.  Briseno sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Basto hits home with a spiteful jab.  Basto throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Basto lands with a sharp jab.  
Basto finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Basto lands with a hard jab.  
Briseno hits the target with a solid jab.  
Basto contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Briseno attempts to land a right hook, but Basto slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook to Briseno's body.  
Briseno steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Briseno advances into close range.  Briseno pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Briseno advances into close range and digs in a right hook to Basto's ribcage.  
Briseno closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Briseno hits home with a sharp jab.  
Briseno lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Briseno steps inside.  Basto throws a left hook, but Briseno clinches his opponent.  Briseno leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Basto pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Briseno steps inside.  Briseno quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Briseno lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Briseno digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Briseno drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Briseno closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Briseno knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Briseno whips in a big left hook to Basto's liver.  BASTO IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  It looks like Basto has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Briseno lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Briseno gets on the inside and is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  
Briseno manages to force Basto onto the ropes.  Briseno lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Briseno holds on to his opponent.  Briseno is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Briseno is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Briseno gets on the inside.  Basto throws a right hook, but Briseno holds on to his opponent.  Basto throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Basto.
