Santiago Sias vs Santiago Capistran

Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rica National Finals 2021,  taking place on 11/03/2021 from San Jose, Costa Rica:

The San Jose venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Santiago Sias (16 - 4) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Santiago Capistran(11 - 8) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  

Round 1: 

Capistran attempts to land a jab, but Sias blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Sias steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Sias sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Capistran hits home with a left hook.  
Sias is on target with a solid right hook.  
Capistran lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Capistran steps away from his opponent.  Capistran feints a right hook, and then finds the target with a jab.

Sias steps inside and walks his opponent into the corner.  Sias hits home with a left hook.  
Sias is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  
Sias attempts to land a left hook, but Capistran slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Sias gets on the inside.  Sias sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Capistran is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Sias forces Capistran to retreat onto the ropes.  Sias lands a left hook.  
Sias is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sias lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Sias lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Capistran drives a stiff jab into his opponents face.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Capistran's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Capistran lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Sias connects with a right hook.

Sias forces Capistran to back into the corner.  Capistran goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Sias to the neutral corner.  He warns Capistran that he could be heading for a point deduction.  
Capistran throws a right hook, but Sias ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sias pushes his forearm into Capistran's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sias lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS CAPISTRAN TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Sias!
