Diego Raya vs Eloy Laura

Boxing Daily Report from the Cuba National Finals 2021,  taking place on 17/03/2021 from Camaguey, Cuba:

The Camaguey venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Raya (17 - 6) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Eloy Laura(19 - 3) from Havana, Cuba.  

Round 1: 

Laura cuts off the ring, trapping Raya in a neutral corner.  Laura connects with a right uppercut.  
Raya tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Laura lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Raya steps inside.  Raya quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Raya throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Raya feints a left hook, and then tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Raya advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  Raya attempts to land a right hook, but Laura blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Laura sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Laura is on target with a cross.  
Raya feints a cross, but Laura ignores the feint and lands with a right hook.  
Raya hits the target with a stinging jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Laura's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Raya is on target with a jab.  Raya tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Raya finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Laura manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Laura sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Laura lands a cross.  
Laura is looking to keep his distance.  Raya hits home with an overhand left.  
Laura strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Laura tries to land a jab, but Raya sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Laura's body.  
Laura sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Raya lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Raya steps away from his opponent and lands a hard jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Raya's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Raya attempts to land a jab, but Laura slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Laura switches the action to the outside.  Raya lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Laura is on target with a jab.  
Laura lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Raya finds the target with a jab.  
Raya steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.
