Boxing Daily Report from the Italy National Finals 2021,  taking place on 26/03/2021 from La Spezia, Italy:

The La Spezia venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Fabio Di Benedetto (15(1) - 6) who hails from Sassari, Italy and Gabriele Cucinelli(4 - 14(4)) from Reggio Emilia, Italy.  

Round 1:

Cucinelli quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Di Benedetto digs in a sharp left hook to Cucinelli's liver.  
Cucinelli drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Di Benedetto steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Di Benedetto tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with an overhand left.

Cucinelli gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Di Benedetto clinches his opponent.  Di Benedetto leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Cucinelli is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cucinelli lands a firm left hook.  
Cucinelli advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Di Benedetto feints a jab, and then hits home with a cross.

Di Benedetto lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS CUCINELLI DOWN!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Di Benedetto!
