Brendan Cron vs Richie Poet

Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2021,  taking place on 29/03/2021 from Georgetown, Guyana:

The Georgetown venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Brendan Cron (22 - 3) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Richie Poet(11 - 10) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Cron steps inside.  Cron pivots to the side of his opponent.  Cron tries to land a left uppercut, but Poet sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Poet sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Poet is looking to keep his distance.  Cron lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Poet sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Cron lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Cron is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  Cron throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Poet strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Poet voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Cron is whaling away with hooks, but Poet keeps his defence tight.  
Cron advances into close range.  Cron quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Cron switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
Cron connects with an overhand right.  
Cron advances into close range.  Cron quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cron is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.

Poet tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.
