Raiden Takaki vs Mikio Morikawa

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan National Finals 2021,  taking place on 01/04/2021 from Himeji, Japan:

The Himeji venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Raiden Takaki (12 - 4) who hails from Saitama, Japan and Mikio Morikawa(6 - 5) from Koshigaya, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Takaki is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Morikawa steps inside.  Morikawa pivots from in front of his opponent.  Morikawa digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Morikawa throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Takaki hits home with a left hook.  
Morikawa pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Takaki hits home with a cross.  
Takaki lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Morikawa steps inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Takaki lands a spiteful jab.  
Takaki pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a firm left hook.  
Morikawa is on target with a right hook.  
Takaki attempts to land a left hook, but Morikawa sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Takaki steps away from his opponent.  Takaki sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Morikawa manouvers Takaki onto the ropes.  Takaki throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Takaki finds the target with a jab.  
Takaki steps away from his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Morikawa walks Takaki onto the ropes.  Morikawa pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Takaki is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a sharp jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Takaki's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.  Morikawa's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!
