Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2021,  taking place on 11/04/2021 from Waitakere, New Zealand:

The Waitakere venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Bart Bowie (5 - 14) who hails from Hamilton, New Zealand and Bob Meldrum(16(1) - 5) from Wellington, New Zealand.

Meldrum gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Bowie pivots to the side of his opponent, but Meldrum lands with a spiteful jab.  
Meldrum sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Bowie lands a sharp cross.

Meldrum manages to force Bowie onto the ropes.  Meldrum pivots to the left of his opponent, but Bowie lands a sharp cross.  
Meldrum pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Meldrum steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Meldrum lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Bowie attempts to land a left hook, but Meldrum sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Meldrum lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Bowie is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.
