Dylan Anders vs Paora Motutere

Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2021,  taking place on 11/04/2021 from Waitakere, New Zealand:

The Waitakere venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dylan Anders (20 - 1) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Paora Motutere(11 - 7) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Anders lands a cross.  Anders tries to land a jab, but Motutere sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Anders switches the action to the outside and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Motutere manages to force Anders onto the ropes.  Motutere lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Motutere tries to keep the action at long range.  Anders lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Anders is looking to keep his distance.  Anders sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Motutere hits home with a cross.  
Anders lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Anders steps to the outside.  Motutere attempts to land a jab, but Anders sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Motutere walks Anders down, trapping him on the ropes.  Anders snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Motutere attempts to land a jab, but Anders slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Anders tries to keep the action at long range.  Anders sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Anders closes the distance and lands a left uppercut.  
Anders steps away from his opponent.  Anders sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Anders lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Anders is on target with a cross.  
Anders sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with an overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Anders's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Anders is on target with a left uppercut.  
Anders feints a cross, and then throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Motutere attempts to land a right hook, but Anders blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Anders lands with a sharp jab.  
Motutere steps away from his opponent.  Motutere sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Anders hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Motutere lands a left hook.
