Neper Armijo vs Vicente Vasco

Boxing Daily Report from the Nicaragua National Finals 2021,  taking place on 14/04/2021 from Managua, Nicaragua:

The Managua venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Neper Armijo (14(1) - 8) who hails from Tipitapa, Nicaragua and Vicente Vasco(21 - 3) from Managua, Nicaragua.  

Round 1: 

Vasco closes the distance.  Vasco sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Armijo is on target with a left hook.  
Vasco closes the distance.  Vasco pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Vasco advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Armijo on the ropes.  Vasco pivots to the right of his opponent, but Armijo hits home with a left hook.

Armijo leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Vasco steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Vasco is on target with a cross.

Armijo switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Vasco pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Armijo switches the action to the outside.  Vasco quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Vasco's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
