Alec Dowie vs Michael Rease

Boxing Daily Report from the UK National Finals 2021,  taking place on 26/04/2021 from Manchester, UK:

The Manchester venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alec Dowie (7 - 12) who hails from Stoke, UK and Michael Rease(4 - 5) from Middlesbrough, UK.  

Round 1:

Rease tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross.

Rease sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Dowie lands with a sharp jab.  
Rease closes the distance.  Rease pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Rease advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Dowie in a corner.  Dowie lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Dowie lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Rease's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Rease lands with a stinging jab.  
Rease is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Dowie hits home with a firm cross.

Dowie attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Rease to the neutral corner.  He warns Dowie that he could be heading for a point deduction.

Dowie pivots to the side of his opponent.  Dowie throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Dowie clinches his opponent.  Dowie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Dowie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dowie lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.
