Lewis Jongwe vs Peter Harley

Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2021,  taking place on 26/04/2021 from Harare, Zimbabwe:

The Harare venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Lewis Jongwe (19(1) - 4) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Peter Harley(12 - 9) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  

Round 1: 

Harley connects with a sharp cross.  
Harley gets on the inside.  Jongwe sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Harley lands a right hook.  
Jongwe is on target with a left hook.  
Harley hits home with a stinging cross.  
Jongwe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Harley tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Harley steps inside and lands a sharp left hook.  
Jongwe is on target with a right hook.  
Jongwe closes the distance and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Jongwe steps away from his opponent and lands a jab.  
Jongwe gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  Jongwe tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Harley lands a cross.  
Jongwe gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Jongwe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Jongwe steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Jongwe is looking to close the distance and lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jongwe's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

Harley walks Jongwe onto the ropes.  Harley lands a solid right uppercut.  
Harley sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Jongwe lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Harley switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Jongwe sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Jongwe lands with a solid jab.  
Jongwe is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab to Harley's body.  
Jongwe hits home with a cross.  
Jongwe retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Harley tries to tag Jongwe on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Harley pivots to the left of his opponent, but Jongwe connects with a cross.  
Harley sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Jongwe hits the target with a sharp jab.
