Boxing Daily Report from the Switzerland National Finals 2021,  taking place on 29/04/2021 from Geneva, Switzerland:

The Geneva venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Garren Gelhaus (13 - 7) who hails from Zurich, Switzerland and Willmarr Picker(19 - 4) from Winterthur, Switzerland.  

Round 1: 

Gelhaus switches the action to the outside.  Gelhaus feints a jab, tricking Picker into launching a left hook counter.  Gelhaus springs the trap, countering with  a firm right uppercut.  
Gelhaus lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Gelhaus lands an overhand left to the head, a cross to the head and a cross to the body.  
Picker gets on the inside.  Picker sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Gelhaus's ribs.  
Gelhaus tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a stiff jab.  
Gelhaus hits home with a hard jab.  
Picker quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a firm cross.  
Picker closes the distance and walks Gelhaus down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Picker hits home with a right uppercut.  
Gelhaus lands a spiteful jab.  
Picker pivots to the right of his opponent, but Gelhaus lands a jab.  
Picker advances into close range.  Picker sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Picker attempts to land a right hook, but Gelhaus slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Picker closes the distance.  Picker pivots to the side of his opponent.  Picker throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Gelhaus switches the action to the outside and drives a jab into Picker's body.

Gelhaus is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
Picker closes the distance.  Picker pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Picker cuts off the ring, trapping Gelhaus in the corner.  Gelhaus attempts to land a jab, but Picker sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Gelhaus goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Picker's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Picker pivots to the side of his opponent, but Gelhaus is on target with a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Picker advances into close range and hits home with a solid left hook.
