Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2021,  taking place on 29/04/2021 from Harare, Zimbabwe:

The Harare venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ian Phiri (10 - 11(4)) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Robert Joubert(17 - 7) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  

Round 1: 

Phiri finds the target with a jab.

Joubert is looking to close the distance.  Phiri lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Phiri attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Joubert's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Joubert manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Joubert connects with a big right hook.  PHIRI IS DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT PHIRI CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Joubert!
