Lewis Jongwe vs Paul Mambare

Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2021,  taking place on 29/04/2021 from Harare, Zimbabwe:

The Harare venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Lewis Jongwe (20(1) - 4) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Paul Mambare(15(1) - 8) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  

Round 1: 

Mambare connects with a cross.  
Mambare is looking to close the distance.  Jongwe attempts to land a left hook, but Mambare blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.

Jongwe steps away from his opponent.  Mambare hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Mambare closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Jongwe throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Jongwe throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Mambare's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Jongwe lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Jongwe finds the target with a jab.  
Mambare hits home with a cross.  
Jongwe steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Jongwe steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Mambare quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Jongwe lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Jongwe's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
