Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Civic Auditorium, San Jose,  taking place on 25/08/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Lights Out Blair (13(9) - 0) who hails from Oakland, USA and Miguel Urenda(7 - 2) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Blair and Urenda weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zafa Rafiq, and the three ringside judges are Lee Copland, Michael Rice and Glynn Flockhart.  

Round 1: 

Urenda is looking to close the distance.  Blair sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Blair finds the target with a jab.

Urenda advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Blair is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Urenda switches the action to the outside.  Blair attempts to land a jab, but Urenda slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Urenda attempts to land a jab, but Blair sidesteps and counters with a HUGE right hook.  URENDA IS HURT!  
Urenda now seems to have got his legs back.  
Blair lands with a stiff jab.  
Urenda advances into close range.  Blair pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Urenda forces Blair to back into a corner.  Blair digs in a right uppercut to Urenda's ribcage.  
Urenda lands a right hook.  
Urenda forces Blair to retreat into the corner.  Urenda connects with a left uppercut.  
Urenda switches the action to the outside.  Blair lands a hard jab.  
Blair lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS URENDA DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Blair is looking to keep his distance.  Blair senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Urenda and just needs the right shot.  Blair slams a spiteful right uppercut into his opponents body.  URENDA IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Blair crashes a DEVASTATING left uppercut to Urenda's body.  DOWN GOES URENDA!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE URENDA THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Blair!
