Malik Eltayeb vs Majid Adaweyah

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Cairo promoted show at Aftab Fahmy Gym, Cairo,  taking place on 18/07/2025:

Clearly AI Egypt-Cairo have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Egypt-Cairo Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Malik Eltayeb (4 - 5 - 2) who hails from Cairo, Egypt and Majid Adaweyah(5 - 7 - 3) from Cairo, Egypt.  Eltayeb weighed in at 153 pounds And 3 ounces, while Adaweyah weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jawad Alhamuli, and the three ringside judges are Obaid Ammar, Waqar Marzouk and Sajid Hammad.

Eltayeb feints a jab, fooling Adaweyah into launching a right uppercut counter.  Eltayeb is waiting for the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Eltayeb quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Eltayeb tries to land a cross, but Adaweyah parries the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.

Adaweyah pivots to the right of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Adaweyah dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Adaweyah.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Eltayeb steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.
