Boyce Dacourt vs Ray Baton

Boxing Daily Report from the Asamoah Promotions promoted show at Floyd Johnston Gym, Quebec City,  taking place on 16/08/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Quebec Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Boyce Dacourt (13 - 2) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Ray Baton(5 - 3) from Gaineau, Canada.  Both Dacourt and Baton weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Olier Paradis, and the three ringside judges are Louis Gillespie, Verrier Luna and Nicholas Prior.  

Round 1: 

Dacourt throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Dacourt clinches his opponent.  Dacourt is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
