Blake Mamon vs Declan MacFarlane

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Palmer Events Center, Houston,  taking place on 05/09/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Blake Mamon (13 - 1 - 1) who hails from Providence, USA and Declan MacFarlane(16 - 3 - 1) from Detroit, USA.  Both Mamon and MacFarlane weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Toste, and the three ringside judges are Danny Henderson, Joel Abraham and Corey Barnes.  

Round 1: 

MacFarlane is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  MacFarlane throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
MacFarlane lands with a spiteful jab.  
MacFarlane steps inside and lands a right hook.  
MacFarlane closes the distance.  As MacFarlane tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mamon dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mamon.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

MacFarlane is looking to close the distance.  Mamon pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.
