Abdul Fathy vs Waleed Zaidi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Alexandria promoted show at Alexandria Bhutto, Alexandria,  taking place on 18/08/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Egypt-Alexandria Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Abdul Fathy (13 - 1) who hails from Alexandria, Egypt and Waleed Zaidi(13(1) - 1) from Alexandria, Egypt.  Fathy weighed in at 175 pounds, while Zaidi weighed in at 174 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Yasin Abdel-Shafy, and the three ringside judges are Abdul Saah, Irfan Ebrahim and Kashif Badour.
