James Byrne vs Joshua Boyle

Boxing Daily Report from the Kalungi Promotions promoted show at James Telfair Gym, Dublin,  taking place on 22/08/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Byrne (5 - 13(1) - 3) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Joshua Boyle(8 - 0) from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.  Both Byrne and Boyle weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Roy Clery, and the three ringside judges are Sam McCaig, Roy Clery and Lorcan Coleman.  

Round 1: 

Boyle advances into close range.  Boyle pivots to the side of his opponent.  Boyle lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Boyle throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.
