Sam Axtell vs David Bassolino

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 04/10/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Oceania Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sam Axtell (15 - 0 - 1) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and David Bassolino(15 - 3 - 1) from Adelaide, Australia.  Both Axtell and Bassolino weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ewan Duffy, and the three ringside judges are Seth Urbano, Dan Nish and Dave Antoni.
