Shane Cassidy vs Ashley Maddix

Boxing Daily Report from the Ten Count Promotions promoted show at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool,  taking place on 06/09/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the WRBC Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shotgun Shane Cassidy (22(20) - 0) who hails from Galway, Ireland and Ashley Maddix(13 - 7(3)) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Cassidy and Maddix weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Floyd Sayer, and the three ringside judges are Gregor Russell, Ronald McCauley and Robert Ewings.  

Round 1: 

Cassidy lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Maddix gets on the inside.  Maddix quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Maddix throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Cassidy is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a cross.  
Maddix steps inside.  Cassidy lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Maddix steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Cassidy lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Maddix quickly recovers.

Maddix attempts to land a jab, but Cassidy slips the shot and counters with a VICIOUS right hook.  MADDIX IS HURT!  Maddix quickly recovers. 
Maddix advances into close range.  Maddix lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cassidy steps away from his opponent and lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.

Cassidy switches the action to the outside.  Cassidy sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Maddix is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a CRUSHING left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MADDIX WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Cassidy steps to the outside.  Cassidy is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Cassidy lands a left hook, cross and a right hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MADDIX DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Maddix now seems to have got his legs back.  
Maddix attempts to land a jab, but Cassidy sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.

Maddix steps to the outside.  Cassidy sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Maddix tries to land a cross, but Cassidy dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Cassidy sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two jab's to the head followed by a cross to the body.

Maddix closes the distance.  Cassidy lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND SENDS MADDIX TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Maddix is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Cassidy!
