Boxing Daily Report from the FreeSmokeJr816 promoted show at Centre Sportif de Carrefour, Carrefour,  taking place on 23/08/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Reinald Du Jeu (8(1) - 0) who hails from Carrefour, Haiti and Glanville Belair(5 - 6 - 2) from Croix des Bouqets, Haiti.  Both Du Jeu and Belair weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hubert Fontaine, and the three ringside judges are Platt Claudel, Franchot Castile and Tenenan de Balzac.  

Round 1: 

Du Jeu advances into close range.  Du Jeu sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.

Du Jeu pivots to the right of his opponent.  Belair throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Du Jeu switches the action to the outside.  Belair is on target with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Belair's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Belair's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Du Jeu.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
