Kimmo Kainulainen vs Miikka Pyysalo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Finland-Pirkanmaa promoted show at Tampere Huopio, Tampere,  taking place on 28/08/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Finland-Pirkanmaa Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Nelonen, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kimmo Kainulainen (12 - 4 - 3) who hails from Tampere, Finland and Miikka Pyysalo(9 - 3 - 8) from Tampere, Finland.  Both Kainulainen and Pyysalo weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aarre Aromaa, and the three ringside judges are Isto Lemminkainen, Eerikki Vuorio and Aleksanteri Saari.  

Round 1: 

Pyysalo gets on the inside.  Pyysalo lands a right hook.

Kainulainen is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with an overhand right.
