Hyun-jun Ree vs Chu-young Kim

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Korea-Seoul promoted show at Kee-hee Kwon Gym, Seoul,  taking place on 28/08/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Korea-Seoul Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hyun-jun Ree (12 - 8 - 3) who hails from Seoul, South Korea and Chu-young Kim(6 - 5 - 5) from Seoul, South Korea.  Both Ree and Kim weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Myung-joo Soh, and the three ringside judges are Jin-hyeon Sheen, Heung-Min Youn and Sun-tae Yee.  

Round 1: 

Kim connects with a cross.  
Ree quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.

Ree digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  Ree throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Kim time to recover.

Ree gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Kim slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Ree advances into close range.  Kim throws a left uppercut, but is off-target.  Kim ties up his opponent.  Kim is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kim about fouling.  
Ree hits home with a right hook.  
Ree steps inside.  Ree steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Kim steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Ree steps to the outside and lands an overhand left.  
Ree finds the target with a jab.  
Kim connects with a right hook.  
Kim lands a left hook.
