Mandeep Sheri vs Waqas Shaker

Boxing Daily Report from the Rooq Promotions promoted show at Berjaya Convention Centre, Johor Bahru,  taking place on 08/09/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Malaysia Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV3, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mandeep Sheri (14(3) - 0) who hails from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and Waqas Shaker(12 - 1 - 1(NC)) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Sheri weighed in at 153 pounds and 10 ounces, while Shaker weighed in at 154 pounds.
