Tariq Farooqui vs Quadrees Achieng

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Kampala District promoted show at Kampala Korde, Kampala,  taking place on 03/08/2025:

Clearly AI Uganda-Kampala District have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Tariq Farooqui (8 - 7(2) - 1) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Quadrees Achieng(10 - 5 - 2) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Farooqui and Achieng weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jack Mugo, and the three ringside judges are Onaedo Odur, Zachary Akiibua and Jevonte Olinga.
