Daniel Ruxton vs John Moriarty

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Chicago Home, Chicago,  taking place on 29/09/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Daniel Ruxton (10(2) - 0) who hails from Anchorage, USA and John Moriarty(1 - 4 - 2) from Cincinnati, USA.  Ruxton weighed in at 240 pounds and 11 ounces, while Moriarty weighed in at 247 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sam Touch, and the three ringside judges are David Ridall, Rex McNiven and Inigo Gillies.  

Round 1: 

Ruxton lands a hard jab.

Moriarty advances into close range.  You can sense Moriarty is getting frustrated in there.   He steps in close and headbutts his opponent!  The ref separates the two fighters and tells Moriarty to watch his head.  He gives Ruxton a few minutes to recover.
