Sam Murchie vs Morgan Pait

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-Victoria promoted show at Reggio Calabria Club, Melbourne,  taking place on 03/09/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Australia-Victoria Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Murchie (6 - 7 - 7) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Morgan Pait(12 - 7 - 4) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both Murchie and Pait weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hugh Collins, and the three ringside judges are Bruce Munhall, Mark Givan and Ian Suit.  

Round 1: 

Pait is looking to close the distance and walks Murchie down, trapping him on the ropes.  Pait lands a left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Murchie has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
