Jamie Gezi vs Brin Machapa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zimbabwe-Harare promoted show at Quartey Gym, Harare,  taking place on 03/09/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe-Harare Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jamie Gezi (7 - 4 - 3) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Brin Machapa(12 - 1) from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe.  Both Gezi and Machapa weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dillon Mutasa, and the three ringside judges are Sam Rodger, Peabo Chikwava and John Takawira.  

Round 1: 

Gezi is on target with an overhand right.  
Machapa lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Machapa closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Machapa lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
