Mal Owen vs Bart Esplin

Boxing Daily Report from the Elite Prizefighters promoted show at Piccadilly Hotel, Manchester,  taking place on 23/08/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Mal Owen (3 - 0) who hails from London, UK and Bart Esplin(2 - 1 - 1) from Birmingham, UK.  Both Owen and Esplin weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dai Tierney, and the three ringside judges are Noel Moris, Wayne Latham and Cody Biggs.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Esplin dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Owen closes the distance.  Owen pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Esplin's body.  
Owen advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Owen is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.

Owen feints a left hook, but Esplin ignores the feint and lands with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.
